The OmieBox is designed to be easy for kids to use independently. It is easy to open, requires no setup, and lets kids easily scoop food out. OmieBox gives kids control over their meals, therefore encouraging them to eat better.

    The OmieBox includes the lunchbox itself, a lid seal, a divider, a thermos, a thermos lid with gasket, and a securing insert for the thermos.

    Use Instructions

    How should I prepare my thermos for optimal insulation?
    Fill your thermos with hot water from a kettle and let it stand with the lid off for 5 minutes. Then carefully pour out the hot water. Use extreme caution when handling hot liquids!

    Is there a limit to how much food I can fit in my thermos?
    Do not fill the thermos past the ridge below the neck or it might leak.

    Using the thermos...
    OmieBox is designed for kids 3-8 years old. To minimize and prevent any potential burns on small children, the thermos was carefully designed to maintain food at cooler temperatures than an adult might desire.

    But we do have a few pro tips to make sure your thermos works as designed! First - always preheat your thermos with hot water. Second - opt for foods like soup or items with lots of sauce. Items such as quesadillas, chicken nuggets and pasta won’t stay warm very long.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    What materials are in OmieBox? 
    OmieBox is made of ABS, PP, food grade silicon, and 18/8 304 grade stainless steel. It is BPA free and meets all FDA and CPSIA safety requirements. 

    Is OmieBox leakproof?
    Yes. OmieBox has three leak-proof compartments which can hold up to 1 teaspoon of liquid each. Wet foods (soup, yogurt, dressing) should go inside the thermos.

    Sub-sections created by using the divider are not leak-proof. The divider just meant to separate the peas from the carrots.

    Is OmieBox dishwasher safe?
    No. Handwashing is best. The high heat & harsh detergents used in dishwashers will damage your OmieBox. Gentle hand washing keeps your OmieBox in tip top shape!

    How should I clean OmieBox?
    Hand wash with warm soapy water and let everything dry completely. You should avoid leaving the whole OmieBox to soak in the sink. A simple wash and rinse is the best cleaning method.

    How should I clean the seals?
    There are two silicone seals in your OmieBox. There is one large square seal that goes around the perimeter of the box. The other is a round O-ring that goes around your thermos lid. Both need to be removed daily for cleaning. Wash in warm soapy water and let dry completely. Without daily cleaning, silicone is highly prone to mould growth which is irreversible and requires the part to be completely replaced. No biggie, we all get busy and forget sometimes. Should mould grow, just come to our website to buy spare seals - we’ll try to keep plenty in stock for you.

    What if my OmieBox is leaking?
    If your OmieBox is leaking, first re-install the lid seal or the O-ring gasket. 99% of the time it’s because these two items are installed improperly. Follow the installation instructions and double check that the gasket is smooth and even. Kinks or waves can cause leaking.

    After packing food, close the lid and latch it. Be sure to use the palms of your hands to push along the entire surface area of the lid. This helps to engage the seal.

    Did you accidentally put it in the dishwasher? If you did, then this could explain why it’s leaking. The dishwasher’s high heat could cause warping, which is why your box is leaking.

    Do's and Don'ts

    • Don’t leave food inside OmieBox for more than 12 hours.
    • Never put your thermos or OmieBox inside a microwave, on the stove top, or in any type of oven.
    • Never boil your thermos.
    • Always hand wash your thermos, no not put them in the dishwasher.
    • Food in the thermos could burn or scald the user. Use extreme caution and always test the temperature before consuming.
    • If the contents are left in the container for more than 24 hours, or if you think the food might be spoiled, use caution when opening the container. Point the opening away from the user and other persons to avoid injury.
    • Don’t store carbonated beverages or dry ice in your thermos.
    • Don’t put your OmieBox in the microwave or freezer.
    • Always use extreme caution when handling hot contents.
    • Do not fill the thermos past the ridge below the neck.
    • Do not over-tighten the thermos lid.
    • Hot content can cause pressure to build within the thermos resulting in a release of hot steam. Open with care to avoid burns.

    Best lunch box I used

    My daughter pesky eater and she doesn’t it school food so I have to prepare every day , Thai helps me balance warm food and snacks in very safe box. And my 4 year old can easily manage to open and close it she loves it.

    May be a little on the pricey side - I would never normally spend this amount on a lunchbox but as My daughter is a particularly fussy eater and I haven't been able to find a lunchbox that will enable me to get a hot dinner in her whilst at school/dance. This little lunchbox was recommended to us by a friend and I am thoroughly impressed. Thermos holds the heated food for a good 4-6 hours. Plenty of storage space for other food items and the heat does not transfer between the sections. What a fab little box.

    My daughter is so excited to start school now that she received. This lunchbox is a solution for all the parents that want to send warm lunches for their kids! You need to follow their instructions, that way the temperature will maintain for hours. The lid is easy to open. We have tried so far food with beef stroganoff and rice, pasta, chicken, definitely still warm after so many hours! The other compartments are great for fruits, veggies and other sides. Great lunchbox! 🙂
